Days - 1

This was the first trip of ROAD LIONS. We planned with 5 members. But on scheduled date, two members back-off from trip because of their co. work. As this was our first trip, so we three decided, we will not postpone the trip.
The day was 31 January, we decided to gather at Tribune chowk at around 6:00 AM. We took Sanjeev (our ROAD CAPTAIN) from panchkula at around 7:00 AM and started our journey.
Ravikant stopped on the bridge of Ghaggar river and told us that his jacket zip is giving some problem. Its very difficult to bear cold with opened jacket. After some efforts, he managed to close the jacket. We took video of rising sun at that point and started.
As you all know that January month is the coldest month of winter season, we all were shivering with cold. So we decided to stop at Kala Amb to relax our body from cold and for breakfast. At kala Amb we found fire; we enjoyed the heat of fire and took our breakfast.

When we shared the video of this point with our friends, they asked why this movie is shaking. Than I told “main kambde hathan nal movie bana reha se. Thand ne sada bura hal kar ditta se”.
After taking breakfast we again started our journey. At one point on the way, our Road Captain Mr. Sanjeev asked us “kehra rasta follow karna hai. Asan walla jaan kuch adventure karna hai?” We told that we will do adventure. So he took us through a very difficult road. The road was very dusty. At one point the road ends. I and Ravikant surprised..... We saw a river on our way. We had to cross the river to go further. Then we decided to cross the river.

After crossing the river, we got the main the road to paonta sahib at Sambhowala. We done some photography there and moved further.
Paonta Sahib was around 20 Kms more. Than at one point road was surrounded by dense forest on both sides. Our captain again asked “wanna do some more adventure”. We agreed. We found a small track going inside forest. We stared on that track and stopped in middle of the forest and decided to do some activities. Sanjeev found a tree which was half inside the khud and half outside. He challenged us to walk on this tree from the khud towards upper part. First Ravikant started walking on the tree. He came out of the khud, on the way at one point he touched the tree, because it was sloppy at that point. After that Tarjinder started coming out of the khud by the tree way. He came out without touching the tree. He decided to walk till the top point. He managed to reach the top point. Sanjeev was following Tarjinder. The tree was shaking as two are standing on the tree. Tarjinder jumped from the top of the tree. As he landed he slipped and ….............. Both Ravikant and Sanjeev start laughing at Tarjinder. Then it was Ravikant's turn. He reached at top, before jumping he fell down.

After this incident Sanjeev said “main nahi kuduga, main latak ke uttar jaunga”.
After this activity we continued on this way. But after some distance the track ends into a dry river. We asked some localite about the way to main road. He told us to follow the river to catch the main road. We covered around 1 km in that dry river and got the main road to Paonta Sahib.
We covered around 5-6 km, Ravikant heard a sound as something is touching the road. We stopped and check that gear rod's nut was out and gear rod was touching the ground. We searched for mechanic and got it functional. We stopped for a few minutes on Giri River.

We reached Paonta Sahib around 12:00 PM. We took the blessing of God. Enjoyed langar at Gurudwara and continued our journey to next destination – Assan Barrage.

We reached Assan Barrage around 1:30 PM. We took some light snacks. After that we have done boating. Ravikant did some photography there. Now it was around 3:00 PM. We had to take the decision either to move forward or start returning back. Then we decided to visit all destinations as per as plan. So we continued to next destination – Dak Pathar

We reached Dak Pathar around 4:00 PM. We spent half an hour there. Sanjeev told us that there is a temple at top of the hill. You have to trek for around 4-5 km to reach there. We started to our next destination Kalsi

Kalsi is famous for three things: Ashoka Sila Lekh, Guru Gobind Singh ji meet Kalsi rishi at this place, this area is under Kalsi military base camp which was famous during China war.

Our last destination was “Raja ki Haveli”. The road was in a very bad condition. We covered the distance of around 2 km in 45 mins. We were surprised on reaching there. What we saw was an old Indian house which they called “Raja Ki Haveli”. We laughed a lot there. Yamuna was flowing on the back side of Haveli. We asked a person the way to go to Yamuna. We trekked for 15 mins, climb down the hill to reach bank of Yamuna.

We enjoyed a lot at this point. Ravikant has done rock climbing on the rock visible in the first picture. After spending around 30-40 minutes we started back to Chandigarh.
We had a great fun on this trip. We were very happy as we successfully completed our first trip.
